The Longmont Estates Jog-a-thon is an exciting and energizing fundraiser that allows kids to be physically fit while raising money for the school.  Donations are spent on PARAs (teacher aides) in the classroom, assemblies, Innovation Fair, Trip Tracker, Field Trips, Conference Meals and so much more!

When is the Jog-a-thon?

The Jog-a-thon will be on Friday, September 21st from 8:30 am to 2 pm.  Check out the volunteer page for a schedule of times by grade level.

Why is the Jog-a-thon important to Longmont Estates Elementary?

The Jog-a-thon is the largest fundraiser of the year.  The PTO counts on the Jog-a-thon to raise a majority of the funds to support the school throughout the year including: PARAs (teacher aides) in the classroom from October to May, Fall Festival in October, conference meals during Fall and Spring conferences, assemblies throughout the year, Avid4Adventure coming to the school every third year, field trips for every grade, Trip Tracker to promote alternative methods of getting to school, Family Formal in the Winter, Spring Disco in the Spring, and all of our PTO event.

Can I run with my student at the Jog-a-thon?

Yes!  The Jog-a-thon is a family event.  Come run with your child or cheer them on!

Do you need volunteers for the Jog-a-thon?

Most definitely.  We could not do this event without the support of the school and parents.  We have volunteer opportunities leading up to Jog-a-thon and the day of the event.  Please visit the volunteer page to find out how you can help!

What are the goals for 2018?

Our goal this year is to raise at least $18,000 to continue to support the school as listed above.  We want to continue to make Longmont Estates the best school for each child.

Who are the current sponsors?

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for 2018!  Our Eagle sponsors are The Wild Game and Get Air.  Our Gold sponsors are Kit Magley at REMAX Alliance, Brown’s Shoe Fit Co., Prestige Dodge, Ripple Effects, Skazma, Warrior Playground, and Longmont Ford. Silver sponsors are Sticker Giant, Twisted Roots, Pump House, High Plains Bank, Safeway, Bassett Carpets, and Good Life Acupuncture.  Bronze sponsors are Culver’s, High Altitude Archery, and Align Chiropractic Center.  Please visit our sponsor page for links to each sponsor.

Donation via PayPal?

If it is more convenient to use a credit card or PayPal, we also have that option.  You do not need to have a PayPal account to make a donation.  The PTO does pay a small transaction fee for PayPal, so we do appreciate checks and cash when possible.  The Jog-a-thon is a flat donation, not per lap.

During the checkout process for PayPal, you will be prompted for the name of the student(s) and grade(s) you are supporting right under the value amount.  Students can earn prizes depending on how much money they earn.  If you list more than one student, your donation will be divided evenly between the students.  If you would like the donation divided differently, please indicate the amount after each students’ name.

Company Matching Funds?

Many companies in the area have funds that can be used to match contributions.  Medtronic, Google, IBM, and AstraZeneca to name a few.  This is a wonderful way to enhance the donation to the Longmont Estates.  Take this handout to your Human Resources Department to see if they will donate to a nonprofit on behalf of your student.

Can I use this donation on my taxes?

The PTO is a registered 501(3)(c) organization, and your donation may be tax deductible.  Use the PTO Tax ID #84-1366272 or print and fill out this form for your tax records.

Thank you for helping make Longmont Estates Elementary a GREAT school!
